If nudism had a national sport -- besides sunbathing, of course -- it would be volleyball, especially water volleyball.

The Caliente Resort & Spa north of Tampa offers not one but two swimming pools set up just for volleyball. Both feature regulation nets and scorecards, along with fencing to catch stray balls.

Players filled both pools at last weekend's annual convention of the American Association for Nude Recreation. Guests also competed in petanque and tennis, even under the harsh glare of a midday sun.
