NW dude ranch finds new future in the nude

Forgot your bathing suit? Not a problem at this ranch.

Just in time for Tucson's sweltering summer heat, a new "clothing optional" resort plans to open Monday in the desert on the Northwest Side.

In its two-year incarnation as the Coyote Moon, the resort at 7501 N. Wade Road catered to gay, lesbian and transgendered travelers. But new owners are relaunching the guest ranch near Marana under a new name, the Mira Vista Resort, with plans to cater to guests who prefer wearing birthday suits over any other type of suits.

"It's hard to go back to wearing a bathing suit once you've tried it nude," said Dave Landman, one of six new owners of the Mira Vista.
He's targeting an annual $400 million industry in the United States, which has doubled in the last three years, according to the American Association for Nude Recreation.

Few boundaries for clothes-free cricketers

PLENTY of one-liners come to mind when you think of nude cricket.

‘They had their eyes firmly on the middle stump’ and ‘there were plenty of balls to go around’ were two overheard at a clothes-optional cricket match on Tyagarah Beach yesterday.

However, the Anzac Day event was no joke for organisers from nudist group Free Beaches Australia.

Wearing a yellow T-shirt, but nude from the waist down, Queenslander Anita Grigg said the naked game was a serious tribute to Australian soldiers.

World Naked Bike Ride Gets Brighton 'As Bare As You Dare'

On Saturday 10 June 2006, in over 40 cities worldwide, people will be riding bikes naked to celebrate cycling and the human body. A surreal sight for sore eyes, the World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) (http://www.worldnakedbikeride.org/) is baring all in bohemian Brighton (am) and London (pm). The ride demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists on the road and is a protest against oil dependency. Cyclists and skaters are encouraged to "be there, as bare as you dare".

Probably the biggest worldwide naked protest in history, WNBR differs from other mass cycle events because of its astonishing naked element. According to the organisers, most bystanders experience a combined feeling of "amusement, shock and disbelief".

The Brighton ride will take place in the morning, allowing participants to also take part in the London event in the afternoon if they travel (clothed!) by train.

The WNBR dress code is "as bare as you dare" - participants are encouraged to wear "as little as they feel confident with". Joining the fully nude contingent, some riders in London last year wore shorts, bras, swimwear, body paint, wigs, sunglasses etc. Most wear footwear and bring bags to carry clothes. Body painting and adornment, customised bikes and other creative expression are all strongly encouraged.

Pink Wants To Perform Nude!

Pop star PINK hates wearing clothes and wishes the music industry would let her perform naked.

The singer, 26, wishes it were acceptable to demand potential dancers remove their clothes before they audition to be in her music videos.

She says, "Why can't everyone just be naked. That's what I love about being the artist, if I had a casting couch for my videos.
