Tuesday, June 26, 2007  This weekend brave Sun man Lee Walpole stripped and took part in one of the UK's biggest ever naturist events at Cornwall's Eden Project.And unlike Jamie Oliver, he really did bare his meat and two veg for all to see at his FIRST-EVER naturist event. The route was through the central streets of the capital and similar demonstrations were also seen on Saturday in Barcelona, Zaragoza, Pamplona, Santander, La Coruna, Granada, Alicante, Murcia, Valladolid and Huesca. The protests are designed to show how invisible cyclists are to motorists, and in demand for more bike lanes, slower speed limits in cities and towns, and measures to accept bicycles on public transport. Source  When Michel Perrault headed out for a bike ride on Saturday, he made sure to fasten his helmet and slip into his birthday suit.Perrault was one of about 30 nude cyclists who pedalled through the streets of Montreal to draw attention to the excessive use of gas-powered vehicles. Read Story Wednesday, June 06, 2007  When Daniel Johnson of the Body Freedom Collaborative (BFC)-a group that promotes nonsexual nude socializing-asked the Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation if they could rent Colman Pool, an outdoor pool in West Seattle, they were turned down flat. Parks department spokeswoman Dewey Potter says that while "it's not inherently against the law to be without clothes," the nude swimmers would be visible to park users, which could violate the state's indecent-exposure laws.Read More |
