Tuesday, October 30, 2007  A Wexford County campground has the go-ahead to expand after a ruling by the Wexford County Zoning Board of Appeals. The ZBA voted 3-0 to grant a special use permit to Spruce Hollow Campground, a naturist, or nudist, campground located in Wexford Township. Wexford County Zoning Administrator Michael Green said the decision allows Spruce Hollow to expand the campground by adding 28 recreational vehicle campsites and expand the total campground from 20 to 30 acres. Read More www.sprucehollow.org  The case against a Kingston naturist arrested while doing a naked walk for charity has been dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service. Bernard Boase, 63, from Coombe Neville, was cleared of causing distress to fellow cliff-top walkers in June of this year, when the CPS decided there was insufficient evidence for a prosecution. He was part of a 15-strong group of naked ramblers raising money for the Marine Conservation Society, which is British Naturism's chosen charity for the year. The group, knowing their hobby has raised some eyebrows in the past, informed police of their 20-mile charity ramble and their intention to wear only boots and rucksacks. At 2pm 85 per cent of voters, 946 people, said nudists shouldn't be banned from the popular southern suburbs spot in an online poll. Only 157 people believed the beach should be nudist-free to protect families from the sight of naked bodies. Fiona of Adelaide said the area is easy to avoid for people concerned about nudists. "It's pretty easy not to go to that one small section of beach if you can't cope with seeing the human body in its natural state," she said. NC, also of Adelaide, agreed. "There are plenty of non-nudists beaches around Adelaide's beautiful coast-line, the only nudist beach in the country shouldn't be shut," they posted.
