Nude St. John's waterfront TV shoot attracts 50
About 50 people of all ages and body types showed up in the buff at the St. John's waterfront for a new TV arts show created by actor and director Mary Walsh. It was minus 11, with a wind chill of minus 15, but that didn't deter the volunteers who showed up at 6 a.m. local time to strip down to their boots and scarves for the Saturday shoot. Read More

Brevard naturists
For 33 years, Ursula Dickens has traveled to the northernmost area of Playalinda Beach, where she enjoys the most natural stretch of Florida seashore in her most natural attire. During those decades, five citations have not stopped the 68-year-old former bed and breakfast owner from sunbathing in the nude. "It's just a matter of freedom to the mind and the body," she said. But now Dickens and scores of "naturists" who visit Playalinda's last northern access point -- historically, but not officially, known as clothing-optional -- could find themselves facing possible fines and arrest after an increase in complaints about nudity. Fox 11 News report at Mira Vista Naturist Resort
There is a place in the Old Pueblo where people can literally let it all hang out. Mira Vista's co-owner, David Landman, reveals, "We've got over 300 members now which, for us being only a little over a year old, is extremely good." The entrance to the resort is just as open as the people who come here. There are no gates and no barricades blocking those from coming in. Management also says they never have a problem with people spying. What they would see is people swimming, reading and tossing around beanbags without restraint of clothes. "It drops your blood pressure 40 points. It's the most relaxing, most outrageous deal in the world," Joseph Marrone, a Mira Vista patron, explains. "The people are fantastic." Clevelander's naked yoga classes a hit
A decade after launching the first commercial gay radio talk show in the country -- "The Gay '90s' on the former WHK -- Buck Harris is blazing another trail. The 59-year-old Cleveland native is offering the first naked yoga classes in Ohio, out of his studio on the West Side. In the few months since offering clothing-free yoga, he's had to expand to three classes a week. His nude students now number more than 50 a week. Harris recently answered a few questions from PDQ's John Campanelli. The first question has to be, why naked? It's the best way to do it. Clothes are sort of our coat of armor, and when you remove them you're more free. What I say to that is: If you've ever been skinny dipping, you'll never want to wear a bathing suit again. Read More

Naturists to cover up for public open day
Nelson Sun Club naturists says it's not lewd to be nude but its members will still be covered up, for a few hours at least, on Sundaywhen they hold their annual open day at the Sunrise Valley Rd resort in Upper Moutere Mr Knowles said they were holding the open day to increase public awareness about naturism in Nelson and attract new members to the already popular club. Getting naked with strangers
Have you ever had one of those cliche dreams in which you realize you're naked in a public place? Well last Thursday wasn't a dream, but it was just as surreal. I found myself naked and surrounded by strangers who were - quite literally - sizing me up. It was one of Terry Pamplin's life drawing classes. Instead of drawing, I decided I would contribute by posing in the nude for the artists. There were about 10 of them, sketching in a circle with me at its nucleus. Read More

UVM students protest livable wages...nude
The event had been billed -- quietly, to maintain surprise -- as a naked march in support of the campaign for livable wages. The undress code was not strictly observed: Only a few marchers were stark naked; some wore underpants; and a few were fully clothed. Still, there was plenty of skin to gain the attention of onlookers -- of which there were plenty at the noon-hour, starting in the Davis Center. The demonstrators' demand, as it has been for several years, is that the university pay a livable wage to its own employees and require the same of its contractors. Nudist campground can expand
A Wexford County campground has the go-ahead to expand after a ruling by the Wexford County Zoning Board of Appeals. The ZBA voted 3-0 to grant a special use permit to Spruce Hollow Campground, a naturist, or nudist, campground located in Wexford Township. Wexford County Zoning Administrator Michael Green said the decision allows Spruce Hollow to expand the campground by adding 28 recreational vehicle campsites and expand the total campground from 20 to 30 acres. Case against naked rambler dropped
The case against a Kingston naturist arrested while doing a naked walk for charity has been dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service. Bernard Boase, 63, from Coombe Neville, was cleared of causing distress to fellow cliff-top walkers in June of this year, when the CPS decided there was insufficient evidence for a prosecution. He was part of a 15-strong group of naked ramblers raising money for the Marine Conservation Society, which is British Naturism's chosen charity for the year. The group, knowing their hobby has raised some eyebrows in the past, informed police of their 20-mile charity ramble and their intention to wear only boots and rucksacks. Read More
